chapter·scout

Why we built this.

There's no good way to find your kid's next book. Goodreads is overwhelming. Amazon shows you “people also bought.” The school librarian saw your kid for fifteen minutes a week. Your friend's recommendation is what her kid liked, not what yours will. And every parenting blog tells you the same five books.

ChapterScout was built by a parent who hit the same wall — a seven-year-old suddenly devouring chapter books and no good way to find what came next. Three months of asking librarians, scrolling lists, and ordering wrong-fit books later, we started writing down what we'd learned. This is what came out of that.

The goal is one specific thing: a parent who knows their kid can find three books worth handing them, with an honest note on which to skip and why.
